It is advantageous for various rapid vacuum forming when dealing with large-sized sheets. At the same time, the thickness tolerance of the extruded plate is smaller than that of the cast plate.


Since the extrusion plate is mass-produced in an automated manner, the color and specifications are inconvenient to be conditioned, so the product specification diversity is limited.

Acrylic also has a kind of recycled material, which is made of recycled acrylic scrap, which is thermally degraded to obtain regenerated MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer, which is obtained by chemical polymerization. After a rigorous process, the pure MMA monomer can be regained, and there is no difference in quality from the new synthetic monomer. However, the purity of the degraded monomer produced is not high, and the quality and performance of the sheet are poor after molding.


Summary: The extruded sheet is made of granular raw materials, which are extruded after high temperature dissolution, and the casted sheet is directly cast by MMA monomer (liquid). Although the extruded sheet is flat and smooth, it is formed during the formation of the pellet raw material. To complete the aggregation.


It is weak in structure and performance when processed into sheet metal, and is not suitable as a material for outdoor signage products. It is only suitable for crystal characters or product branches.

In addition, since most of the extruded plates do not have the function of preventing ultraviolet rays, the life of the outdoor use is not the same as that of the cast plate, the color will gradually fade and it will be easily embrittled until it is broken.


The cast sheet is structurally polymerized during the processing of the sheet, with the addition of UV absorbers, which have extremely high strength and UV function. The outdoor service life is more than 5 years and even 10 years. The color is always bright and new during use.


3. Simple distinction and identification method of pure new material acrylic plate and recycled plate


Differentiating method:


1. Pure new material transparent acrylic board:


A: The light transmittance is greater than 92%, and the cross section is transparent and colorless.


B: Excellent UV resistance, no fading, loss of light, yellowing, cracking in outdoor 5-8 years


C: high surface hardness, comparable to aluminum and brass

2. Recycled material recycling board transparent acrylic board:


A: light transmittance is less than 86%, yellowing at the cross section


B: The UV resistance is very poor. It will yellow at most for half a year, and cracks easily under sunlight.


C: low surface hardness, easy to scratch

E: The quality of the protective film is inferior and it is easy to deteriorate.


Identification method:


1. Return to the new material recycling board:


A: The appearance of the recycled plate is yellowed.


B: The surface is easily scratched, and the cutting is irritating.


C: When thermoforming is heated, bubble deformation is likely to occur.


D: sensitive to paints and inks, prone to silver streaks or cracks.


E: When burning, the foam emits black smoke and has a pungent odor.


2. Pure new material acrylic plate:
